A lifelong learner and educator, Tony Xiao is passionate and dedicated to the work of creating a better, more equitable future for education. Tony began his professional career serving through AmeriCorps as a high school teacher in Washington, DC, where he stayed for five years as an 11th and 12th-grade math teacher. He worked closely with students and used data-driven practices to help students develop future-ready math and critical thinking skills for their postsecondary education and career pursuits.

Tony holds a Master of Science in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Media Arts from Vanderbilt University. He is committed to continuous personal and professional development in order to better serve the needs of learners, teachers, and the communities that surround them.

Tony currently lives in Washington, DC and in his free time enjoys watching and writing about films, trying new restaurants, and traveling for friends and food.
