Donnie Whitten has dedicated his career to serving schools, students and families through public education. He led Arkadelphia Public Schools in Arkansas for 11 years as superintendent, and spent a total of 24 years in education as a teacher, principal and district-level leader. Donnie earned his doctorate from the University of Arkansas and was named to Arkansas Business' 40 under 40 during his tenure as superintendent. In 2010, he collaborated with private community partners to launch the Arkadelphia Promise Scholarship, providing an opportunity for every Arkadelphia student to attend college after graduation. On weekends, you’ll find him enjoying time on DeGray Lake in southwest Arkansas or watching his sons play football and baseball.
