Highlights from our 2023 Annual Impact Report

During a year marked by teacher shortages, educators chose to invest in their skills by pursuing Modern Classrooms Project training. What makes our professional development so valuable to teachers that they are willing to try it, even when they are considering leaving the profession?

  • They know their current approach is unsustainable, and this model allows them to try something completely different. These are educators who love their work, but know they can't continue under the demands of a traditional classroom.

  • They want their classroom to be less about teaching and more about learning. They know that students learn best when their teachers step down from the front of the room and instead use multiple modes of instruction.

  • This model speaks to what educators with years of experience know to be true - personalizing the learning experience for their students leads to improved academic outcomes and stronger relationships.

And so, during a year of extreme difficulty in education, Modern Classrooms teachers are emerging as better educators who love their work. We published this research in our annual impact report, and encourage you to fuel your curiosity and dive deeper.
